This is your invitation to play an integral role in planning the next phase of W.O.M.E.N.; W.O.M.E.N.ís H.O.U.S.E.

Operation Panty Power (OPP) Benefit Show

W.O.M.E.N. and Luci Lampe invites you to The Listening Room Cafe on Friday, August 12th at 7pm!

Admission is a $5 donation or a new pack of unworn panties!

W.O.M.E.N. was the winner of Luci Lampe’s “Song for You” contest held in the Spring. The winner-inspired song will be performed for the first time at this event. Don’t miss out!

The Listening Room is located at 209 10th Ave. S #200, Nashville, TN.

Back To School PAJAMA BRUNCH

In conjunction with the HBCU Wellness Project, W.O.M.E.N. is hosting a Back to School PAJAMA BRUNCH
When: Saturday, September 10,2011 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.
Where: Fisk University, Appleton Room
Participants will be educated about an array of topics such as: safer sex, anatomy, female condom instruction, self breast exam and partner negotiations.
Please wear your PAJAMAS! NO Lingerie Allowed!
Free food, Free confidential HIV testing, Door Prizes and much more!!!
**This event is for females only, however males can get tested**

W.O.M.E.N. will host a conference call for the Your Community Impact Planning Committee. This call is mainly for those committee members who were not able to attend the previous meeting. The conference call is scheduled for Tuesday,October 4, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. CST.

The Red Ribbon Affair

World AIDS Day is Thursday, December 1. Please join us in honoring the millions who have passed on as a result of AIDS-related deaths.

 

The Fisk- MMC HBCU Wellness Project is hosting a commemorative event at Jubilee Hall, Appleton Room on the campus of Fisk University. The event starts at 6pm. The keynote speaker will be our very own, Catherine Wyatt-Morley.

Face To Facts: A National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day Event

W.O.M.E.N. and Vanderbilt HIV Vaccine Program will be hosting ‘Face to Facts:Speakers Forum’, a National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day event.

This spectacular event will feature music,food and first person stories from African-American individuals living with HIV/AIDS.

When: February 7, 2012 5PM-7:30PM

Where: Vanderbilt University,Light Hall Rm 208

Free and confidential HIV testing will also be available.

Join Me On The Bridge

Please join us to celebrate International Women’s Day by gathering on the Broadway Street Bridge (near Union Station Hotel) in downtown Nashville.

When: March 8, 2012
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Where: Broadway Street Bridge

On this date, women will gather on bridges worldwide to celebrate peace and stand in solidarity with women in war zones who struggle daily for peace. Please join us in standing with these women to give them strength and to show we support their demands for peace and equality.

Please bring banners and signs in support of women and peace. See you on the bridge!
